High Tea and Cocktails in Dampier

May has come and gone, but the spirit of giving lives on. We had a wonderful time at the annual Dampier High Tea Fundraising event, supporting the essential services provided to Reach Us clients.

We extend our gratitude to the sponsors of this event for believing in our cause and for supporting its continuance. Together, we can make a difference and empower individuals in need. Selling out in just 5 days, our team was very excited about how well received this event was.

To the many individuals that gave up their weekend to volunteer to make this event happen, we thank you and your families.

For anyone unfortunate to have missed out on this event, it is an afternoon filled with delicious high tea finger food, cocktails, tea, cancer survivor guest speakers from within our own community, raffles, auctions, live music (courtesy of Brodie Kenworthy), a traditional Balinese dance, Fashions on the Field and an afternoon spent with friends.

We look forward to bringing this event back next year ~even bigger and better!

Aside from our wonderful volunteer events committee and sponsors, we would like to acknowledge the dedication from a couple more extra vollies that helped us out on the day:

Scott Bourne: MC extraordinaire

Judes Grazing and Event Decor, SOAK in Dampier + team: For pulling off high tea catering for 120 people effortlessly and gracefully - and in addition, the food was beautifully presented and delicious.

Robert Hegan (People and Perspectives) and his lovely wife Nadine: for taking well over 500 beautiful photos over the afternoon.

Kath and Steve: Thank you for standing up in front of an emotional crowd to bare your soul and give a retelling of your cancer journeys. We believe that through your brave words, your advocacy will help promote honest conversation around both mental and physical health and will assist many more families feel less lonely through their own cancer experiences.

Scott: The snake handler! Removing an unwanted guest prior to the arrival of attendees.

Jeremy: Our last-minute stand-in bus driver, thank you for saving the day and for getting our guests safely to and from the event.
