About the event

Join us for our first Peer Led Support Group of the year!

The purpose of our group is to offer a safe space for all cancer patients and survivors to connect, share information, share experiences, ask questions and guide each other. Our group sessions are informal in nature.

Why should you attend?

Although there is no obligation or expectation to attend or re-attend meetings and workshops, our peer support group is here for your benefit.

• Works to empower you;

• Promotes information sharing;

• Can reduce anxiety and stress;

• Provides a space for shared experiences and the opportunity to speak freely;

• Reinforcement of the normalcy of reactions and experiences;

• Offers the opportunity to develop new connections;

• Enables opportunities to learn from others and gain support, encouragement and hope;

• Provides a sense of belonging in a safe and comfortable environment;

• Promotes inclusion by creating community while helping people to realise they are not alone.

Morning tea provided. Venue to be confirmed closer to the date.
